Ms. Leyna Nguyen shared after the performance:
“It’s like a reward for the eyes. I thought I knew what to expect until I sat there and heard the music and saw the colors – it’s truly magical… This show goes beyond pure entertainment. I think the extraordinary magic of Shen Yun is that every piece carries a message of love and peace. I know my daughter loves this show. When the curtain went up, I looked at her face, amazed by what she was seeing. It’s wonderful to come here, sit back, relax and immerse yourself in the music and the beautiful scenes on stage.”
Leyna Nguyen is far from the only audience member to say so after seeing Shen Yun. Gemologist Mr. Reeves said: “I may have been to every corner of this earth, but I have never seen anything like this before, it’s unbelievable”.
And former teacher Sherry Martin said: “If you try to describe it to someone, they’ll ask “Is that real?”. This is something you have to see with your own eyes”.

Shen Yun is a New York-based performing arts company founded in 2006 by a group of overseas Chinese artists with the mission of reviving the traditional culture that was lost in China. Through music and dance, Shen Yun takes audiences to ancient lands and across dynasties throughout history, from splendid imperial palaces to the wild steppes of ethnic minorities, telling famous stories from ancient to modern times such as Journey to the West, Mulan, Wu Song, Yue Fei and more… What delights and surprises audiences most is perhaps the vast, realistic and vivid 3D digital backdrop, which takes viewers into the forgotten Divine Land with many surprising details. As lawyer Mike Scheller shared: “I’m truly shocked. I don’t have enough words to praise it”.
